Well here's a bit of genius.

firefox-0.9rc-mac.dmg.gz contains no other than FireFox 0.8 :p :D not sure if it's a mess-up with the files, or if it's a mess-up with the internal version number (ie; it is 0.9, but the version hasn't been updated) Either way, tis rather strange. :)

[edit] Just installed Mozilla too, which appears to be the right version ;) and is superb as ever :D

It's got the 0.8+ in the Help/About thingy instead of 0.8.

As I posted on the front page.

Since it's still a Release Candidate it keeps the 0.8 (or 0.8+) version. When 0.9 is officially realesed and final, then you gonna see version 0.9 in the Help /About thingy.

Excellent stuff NetRyder. 0.9 looks damn good :) the import manager and new extension manger look to be the bes bits so far
although i did have a chuckle at the ammount of times a feature was "borrowed" from IE :D

Good link NetRyder. :)

Have any of the extensions been made available for this new release? I noticed that Tabbrowser Extensions was updated on 5/29. I'll use the older versions if it's not going to be a problem, but I'm just not sure.

Edit: Just read gonaads' post in the comments section... I'll go to Mozillazine for the info.

I read somewhere that there is a version of TBE that's compatible with 0.9RC1. Haven't tried it myself...as I said, I'm waiting for the milestone build before I jump in.

Yep, it's a good move. Attracts more potential switchers to a standards-compliant browser, which is better for the web as a whole.
And then it works in both directions...notice Microsoft's move to include a popup blocker in SP2.

In search of a Firefox Extension

I am in search of an extension that will put a button on the tool bar for blocked popups. There are several sites that I go to and need to easily turn off the popup blocker.

I came up with one even better. Just set the site to allow popups in the options :D

Yeah but what if he changes his mind, later? Then he's gotta go back into the "options" ta change it. I think he wants something simple and easy to get to... Like on the tool bar.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
