Yeah laptops and routers are not slower, they all have the same hardware capabilities.

well, wireless signals are slower.... like, my laptop on my belkin 54g was only about 6mbps, on my new router my laptop clocks in at the 30mbps. so... in my case as well as in any other person i know who uses a router, wireless was slower.
