You spammer, you're just looking for another place to spam at.

it is great to see that we are folding so well again!!

Good job people!!

MultiCore question. One of the reasons I use the gui f@h app is I like a.) hovering over the icon in the systray to see how many frames I have left and b.) being able to easily pause or quit the app by right clicking that same icon.

If any of the multicore apps or crazy multi cpu folder methods will allow me the same comforts I'd be willing to give it a try. I mean as of now, I'm only using 50% of my cpu.

You can always create a short-cut to the .txt file that has the information for each of the core's going.

I simply use the F@H gadget that net has created currently. One of the guys who makes some of the most amazing gadgets for Vista has been asked (by yours truly) to come up with a small/multi-functional gadget.

We'll see what magic he can work.

Anyways, do what I suggested and you should be good to go. Also, you won't have the gui overhead taxing your cpu so you can fold an extra second or two faster 😉

finally got the GPU client working on my laptop.. going to switch from the CPU to the GPU version of a little bit. Not sure if it will be better or worse since it is only a mobility Radeon x1600 w/256MB RAM.. but we'll see if it is any better/worse than the CPU console version I was running before..

AH! But that wont fix the pause problem will it?

Unfortunately no, but you will at least be using 100% of the system.

OK, brought my lab back into the picture. lets see if i can crank out some WUs

Good to see the enthusiasm back for folding, gadget looks nice Kunal 🙂

My stats won't really stabilize, I'm teetering between orange/maroon.

Yeah, the server is a moron for not reading my stats correctly :smoker:

My 1950XT agp is installed 😎

Going to get the GPU client and see what I can do.

Decided to do a complete re-install for the hell of it.

Almost finished. Ultimate installed, installing some apps and then I'll fiddle round with the other crap.

Yay for 100% clean install of Vista and no trace of XP.

I'll probably regret it soon enough though.

Btw, this is probably the quietest video card I have had in 5 or 6 years 😎

that should rock.. most of what i've seen is the GPU client really is the best performing client. Heck, even my x1600 mobility seems to be cruching faster than the CPU client ever did.. (on the plus side, I restarted my CPU client running on one core at 75% and it hasn't effected the cruching power of the GPU client... although my laptop does run really hot 🙂
