That would be pretty sweet, I'd like to hear your feedback after doing it.

May the force be with you :smoker:

I am trying to get some of the guys on nvnews with new ps3's to join up.

They are somehow pushing for a separate nvnews team with ps3's only. Help me convince them. It just seems counter-productive somehow.

A couple of the nvnews guys with ps3's have signed on with the combined team we have 🙂

Don't forget to stop over and say cheers 😀

And lets get our output back to 10k plus a day 😀

Strahdie-poo, whats up with the output buddy 🙁

Farm shut-down?

Nice to see you're still contributing though 🙂

Net, options on running F@H on vista?

At the moment, having some issues running it as an automatic service on both cores.

Ideas?

I've been running F@h on Vista as automatic services (both cores) since November. I just ran the command line version with the config flag and selected "yes" when it asked if it should run as a system service.

What kind of issue are you running into? Does it not register as a service? Does it not run at startup?

Yah, basically.

It's not starting up automatically even after I set it as an automatic service at startup.

If I manually go in there and start it, it works but it dumps all my other work, kind of defeating the purpose of running it as a service 🙁

Good luck with the PS3...sadly F@H seems like the only reason I'd want one.

On a side note, I clicked a link in your signature Sazar that links to servicegui.zip. When scanned by bitdefender it comes up with a positive virus and moved the zip. I can't however find the positive listed in bitdefeder's virus DB. Very strange.

Hmmm, interesting.

Those links are to apps used by most of the folders.

Derek, insights?

As an aside, I've subbed 3 massive units and haven't seen anything show up so far. What gives? 🙁

I just moved back home last night, so my desktop is sitting in the garage right now. I'll bring it in tomorrow and see if I can find something that might help.

back home? Why not set up the server farm...you guys get free wifi in your city, dont you? Or is the city not set up yet?

uhhh yeah...Seems Cerritos has a Citywide Wifi....no?
Our house is in Buena Park. I wasn't aware that Cerritos had citywide WiFi though. That would be pretty sweet. Google had just started rolling out free WiFi in Mountain View while I was interning with them last summer, and it was great.

I don't have a server farm either, so that confused me a bit too. 😀

I got lost in San Jose when I was out in California and it was great...I just whipped out my laptop and went to google maps and found out where I was. Very useful.

Heh, he whipped it out 😎

-edit-

Here are some of the new guys from the nvnews forums with their PS3's (and systems) who recently joined.

Like Kunal, I haven't had any problems running F@H on Vista.

Does it give you a specific file or a virus name it detects it as?

I hope that the pace we are at now continues!!! Those's ps3 can fold!!
