KCleaner : easy and automatic System Cleaner

i think it should be free to osnn members 🙂 if it goes shareware 😛

I just loaded the program to have a look kyle

it's a big mistake to have all the boxes checked by default, you need to uncheck everything and let the user decide which files he's deleteing

how could this be eliminating temporary internet files and cookies by default?

some users are just gonna click "go" and they're gonna be pretty shocked to find their sites load slower and don't recognize them anymore

I suggest you fix asap

now for my report;

I unchecked the files I want to keep and hit analyse to find out which temporary files are being deleted by default it crashed first run and won't run again (probably till I restart)

In settings you can set the kind of files you want to be kept.

Do you have screenshots of KCleaner crashing ?

I know you can set the kind of files you want cleaned, the default should be all off not all on

otherwise users are gonna do some harm to their computers, slowing it down in some instances and they will not be recoginzed when they visit their cookied sites.

no screenshot

once you set the default for all off, then of course after the user sets the files they like deleted, those boxes should remain ticked when they relaunch

I am looking forward to using this, I like how small it is

Yes, CCleaner does have automatic cleaning.

CCleaner has a setting to run when Windows starts and with the auto switch it runs silently.

That's all fun and good but a scheduler for having it run on certain days or at certain times would be a better option. If you don't shut down for days or weeks on end it would be a plus to be able to scheduler CCleaner to run.

Ever heard of task scheduler?

Would be easy to run CCleaner silently through task with the auto switch.

What I mean is a list of cookies you create that it never will remove.
As far as the question about the memory footprint vs CCleaner, both products use about the same amount from what I have tested.

how about making it so it can be ran from a usb stick, doesnt have to be installed

so I have the beta version and it won't analyse, it just hangs, I had it analyzing all night and zero progress
