Official WHQL NVIDIA 270.61 Display Driver

NVIDIA have released a small update to last months 270.51 driver for their ranged of desktop and notebook-based systems. This is the first Rel 270 driver to be WHQL certified.

There doesn't seem to have been a changelog or specific documentation posted for this driver, but if you were using 270.51 you should be able to use the new updater to get upgraded automatically (I uninstalled this as I actually found it created a whole new user on my system and I frankly didn't like that.

Full Battlefield 3 Fault Line trailer released

Recently Dice and EA have been releasing an episodic story from the forthcoming Battlefield 3 game and today they have released the full 12 minute version for you viewing pleasure.

After the recent dsiappointment of Crysis 2 heres to hoping that Battlefield 3 is going to push PC hardware to it's limit and at a glance it is promising to do just that.
Battlefield 3 is scheduled to launch before the end of the year.

Help to launch Valve's Portal 2 early!

Valve has recently been playing a game with its fans and customers, promising to Launch Portal 2 early if various Potato-augmented games are played.

Essentially you, the gaming populace of the world, determines when Portal 2 is released. Right now it's still scheduled for release on Tuesday at 7AM PST, but that can and will change depending on how much you play.

Play any of the Potato Sack games to increase the "Current CPU" for that particular game. The longer you play, the faster the bars will fill. Once a bar is filled for a game, the wait for release shrinks. If a bar is already filled for a game, play another one in the list that needs help.

It's really just that simple and entirely dependent on what you manage to accomplish as to when we'll all see Portal 2

So far it would appear that all the hard work has so far reduced the launch time by 90 minutes which is a little underwhelming, but current predictions are that I could be playing Portal 2 on Monday night!

Microsoft Office Outlook 15 Interface Screenshot Leak

Tom over at WinRumors has got his hands on a screenshot showing what is to come with the next version of Outlook currently dubbed Office 15.

The first Office 15 screenshots began to leak in early March, and some early Outlook screenshots revealed that Microsoft is implementing a Metro UI across its next Office product. The Hot Fix has uncovered a new build of Office 15 which includes further Metro styling. Outlook has been overhauled to include a number of Metro inspired elements.

The screenshot at the source shows that more and more Metro elements such as those seen in Windows Phone 7 are going to continue to become more prominant and will also play a large part in Windows 8, various milestone leaks of which have also started making their way to the internet.
