Intel had me waiting for there "Core Duo" processor for nearly half a year- an d when it finally came i bought a system boasting with specs inclusive of the core duo processor-- only to wait a couple more months to hear that they're bringing out the "Core 2 Duo".... imagine who I felt. i could have waited a little longer and bought that instead BUT noww the news is that they're pushing out the "Quad core processor"! my little duo core feels like a baby now. my system has become regular again because of these swift advancements. Anyone feel the same?

Naaa, I bought my Opteron 175 a while ago, and had read and kept up with things knowing about the Intel Core 2 being better, but chose to wait because mine will do everything I need it to do for a while. Then I'll wait for Quad core, Vista, and DX10 to come out to see what's in store for the next year. And things will look good for my upgrade this next year hopefully.

I wonder, would it be better to get the quad core or the multi processor opteron system.
Mind you the quad processor board is 1500 dollars.
