zalood...what can I say...

this document you've put together is beutifull

really beutifull...I haven't been through it all, but once I'm through, I'll pm any thing that I find that might need an update.

zalood....great effort, great.

now, do I have to hack the source, or are you gonna add your name to the credits?...

not a request zalood, please put your name on this document...

thank you

. . . .

not a request zalood, please put your name on this document...

thank you

OK dealer . . will do that on the next version . .
but it would be easier to revise it if either you or ramanuman made notes on what need to be revised or added . . thanks

ok

got something new

everyone knows I like to browse with a full screen, but up to now, it's been impossible for me to get internet explorer to keep my full screen setting

I tried settin this view in widows explorer, which does a better job of keeping the setting, but it is not complete, as new windows continue to togle between views

so, here's the solution...and for 3 days so far, every window has opened with my full screen preferance

(this is the f11 view I'm talking about)

hit the regedit shortcut

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Console. In the right pane find FullScreen...change that value to 1

Then ...HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\InternetExplorer\Main.

In the right pane find FullScreen and change that value to yes. Exit/Reboot.

Hi everyone, thanks for all the great tweaks and information.

Can someone tell me what I'm missing, I want to download the file zalood posted with all the tweaks but I don't see a link in his post. Where do I go to download the file?

Thanks! :)

Hi dan75

Welcome to XP-erience :D

Glad you like the tweaks our members have posted

here's the file Zalood put together for us

TwoZigzagColt45... thanks for the welcome and posting the file for me, I really appreciate it!

ok...put album art on some of the music you've already downloaded without the album art

first, download the album cover art from the Web...

save the image as folder.jpg...put that in the appropriate folder.

XP will automatically use that image as the thumbnail for that folder...plus...it will also use the image in Media Player (MPXP)

if you want to look at the album cover art instead of a visualization.

allright...pretty simple tip

if you want a program to always be available in the start meue, no matter how rarely tou use it...easy

Right-click the link to the program on the Start menu, hit Pin to Start Menu. that program gets moved permanently to the top of the list, just below your browser and e-mail programs.

ha...I can't believe I just discovered this.

so, most of you probably know it, but some might not...I did not.

you k ow when you're in a folder with like a gazilion subfolders?

fist, in the past, I went to view> arrange by>name

and the icons were arranged alphabetically.

I jus tfound out...all you have to do, is hit the letter on your keyboard, and the browser immiately highlight the first entry with that letter...hit it again, and the next entry is highlighted

very nice

this works in the favorites folder as well

ha...you can send along a voice message with your mail...cool

first, open the sound recorder, thus;

Start> Programs> Accessories> Entertainment, and then click Sound Recorder.

On the File menu, click New.
To begin recording, click Record, and to stop recording, click Stop.
Save the .wav file to a folder on your desktop so you can find it

Attach this folder to your mail.

allright, paste this somewhere you have easy access

javascript:alert("Cookie is: " + document.cookie)

put that in your address bar when you want to get an immediate look at the cookie.

also, you can create a favorite with this address, so your access is immediate

Notepad is the most secure program to run/edit many type of script or any other file like vbs, js, ini, theme and many others.
It is very convenient to have Notepad in the ContextMenu.
Here is how to add this feature:

run regedit:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell
- rightclick shell> new > key : type Notepad
- click Notepad and on the right panel doubleclick default: type Notepad
- left panel right click Notepad > new > key: type command
- click command and on the right panel doubleclick default:
type C:\Windows\Notepad.exe "%1" (with the quotes)

from now on you will have Notepad in the ContextMenu for any file type.
If you don't like it just delete all those new entries that you just created.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
