XP Startup problem

Every time I turn on the computer and get to my desktop my Control Panel is opened. I've looked at my start up menu and there's nothing in there about the control panel. How can I stop it from opening every time I boot up?

ive seen the control get in the startup folder itsaelf and not the msconfig...check to see if a shortcut exists there...in the Startup folder in the progrmas menu
