Norton Internet Security and Outlook XP

Since last week I have problems with NIS and Outlook XP. I downloaded an programupdate for some new virus and ever since, I can't fetch any e-mail. Outlook contacts the pop-servers (I have several e-mail adresses), downloads the mail and then NAV kicks in, as usual, to scan the e-mail. But there is the problem, whenever it scans for new e-mail, the connection with the pop-servers is lost and Outlook give an error report about that the transmission is lost. I went to the Symantec.com website, but my problem is not listed. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling NIS, but no effect. With Outlook Express there is no problem, only with Outlook XP. When I disable the startup of NIS and NAV, the e-mail is loaded as usual, of course without the scanning bit.
Does anyone else has this problem and knows a workaround for it?
Thanks in advance

nevermind, the problem solved itself... But I don't have a clue what I've done right/wrong.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
