Depending on what firmware you have you want to navigate to the Advanced Tab and MAC Addr. Clone or just click this link - http://192.168.1.1/wanMac.htm link to take you to the configuration page of your router to enter the MAC of your NIC.
Not all cable providers will bind your connection to a MAC address of a NIC.
Btw, I have Videotron cable, similar to rogers . And internet works on both of my comps with Win XP Pro .
