Need For Speed 4 & 5

I have only made partitions on my hard drive when Im formating it. I have a 60 gig hd , so I have enough room for two operating systems. But if I have to repartition my HD wont I lose all the data on it ?

if you can explaine briefly what I need to do Ill have little trouble with following your directions. My first computer was a 286 sx, remmeber those..hehe
I use to play around with config and Exe files just to get my computer to just run on DOS =)

Those good old days ended with MicroSHaft, Thanks to to MR Bill, he made the pain all go bye bye. My head feels much better now....now,,,, or does it ???

Ive know what partitioning your hard drive does( makes multiple drives out of one) but I have only used it a few times.

:D Jwin

If you want to partition with data on the drive then the only tool that can do this is, PowerQuest Partition Magic 7.0 It does a really good job, but still backup data before altering anything. You also need to defrag and scandisk before hand as well.

Have you tried Colin McRae 2?

The feeling of speed in this game is absolutely amazing!!

well... djwhite..seems like u r the the one destined to play nfs4 among us in XP.. hehe... just bought a M5 ..
I think I could handle playing enough NFS4 for all of us!

Never had a problem running NFS High Stakes or Porsche Unleashed on my machine. I dont understand why so many people are having problems?.....Maybe a hardware issue?

i think it shouldn't be any hardware issue.. as it works perfectly fine on ME..

As for JWin , try to use Powerquest Partition Magic ..

Yep, you need two partisions. I use System Commander, that works fine.
To bad I only can play NFS 5 on Xp..
Got the whole series.

NFS 3 hot pursuit

Just built a system from spare bits around, and loaded XP for the first time. NOw migrating all my sons games etc onto XP. Can someone point me to the trick to get NFS3 working under XP? I really dont wanna have to dual boot, it will confuse the wife ;)

I can report that Colin McRae Rally 2 works fine, Test Drive 6 ok, MB truck racing OK so far - will report the success of others as I load them (does TOCA2 or Toca 1 work ok?)

System is ASUS AV7 classic, bios 10
Athlon 1100
Geforce GTS 64mb drivers 28.32

Tnx

Geoff_UK, PM me your email address and I will send you the files.
Both are fairly small. so not a long email download time.

NFS 4 High Stakes works for me too. :D

Could it graphics card related?

 still cannot get it work... now my CDROM couldn't read the &%^&$ NFS4 CD.

I couldnt get NFS4 to run on my computer untill I formatted and repartitioned my hard drive, then reinstalled Win XP.

I think the reason it wouldnt work is because I had the hard drive my games on formated in the NTFS and my C drive was Fat 32.

So maybe the two was conflicting , Im really dont know. But now both drives are NTFS so I reinstalled the game, and it worked.

Could be other reasons , Im not sure. But the game works now and Im a happy puppy again.

Now if I can only remember where I put my gamepad.. its got to be under this junk somewhere.

Peace

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
