Things are OK - just on dial up right now so do not expect to hear much.

The bad news is no cable in the street.... The good news is Broadband (sales) hope they can achieve a turn on date for service of the 26th.... Now question is shall I tell Lord I have arranged this or let him read it in the forums?

Hehe - just cannot decide - although we really should compare kit - I mean I have a router for wi-fi and maybe he has a modem - plus I need to track down and count my micro filters.... we will need at least two and then again three if I can track the fault in the extension to my room....

So yeah, we had better talk about it I guess (when he gets up!)

Hmm that would depend on the installation type we get, if they fit a filter panel to the master socket we wont need filters elsewhere, then again there is only the master socket and the extension on your room.

Should have though of this before I came to work but seeing as that I'd just woken up when you asked about that I think I did prety well

But you are not doing so good on your post - you have forgotten that the socket in my room does not work! - And on the subject does that mean you do not have one in your room? I thought (for some reason) that you went online with dial up there occasionally.... but perhaps that was a delusion and you are actuaqlly allergic to dial-up?

I used my now dead Motorola V3 to dial up to check on my application to smile.co.uk for about 10 minutes..

after thinking firefox had crashed I decided I'd wait till I had sorted out where I wouldbe living and arange broadband.

9600BPS is like standing still on a dragstrip..... nothing freaking happens!!
