Kazaa without the s--t

If you want Kazza without ads etc. do this.
1. Run ad-aware and delete all the spyware (backup first)
2. Go to Windows>System32>AdCache - delete this folder
3. Now make a file called AdCache (no file extension) and Read only, put it in the same location as the orginal AdCache folder
4. Take the attached file cd_clint.dll and place it in your Kazaa folder
5. Start Kazaa now with no spyware or ads

Thanks for the info on a manual fix... I've been looking for that. Just want to make sure though, the ad cache folder and the .dll will be found by ad-aware, but they are harmless right?

After you have made those changes and should you run ad-aware again the cd_clint.dll and the AdCache file will be found by ad-aware, just put it in the ignore list and it won't pick it up again.
Just a note the AdCache may or may not be picked up after the change - if it isn't no worries.

Does anybody have this problem? It goes through the download, and then it says the download failed. It downloads the correct bites and everything. The other thing I noticed was that in the shared folder, while it's downloading, there are no temp files in like in the regular kazaa, or morpheus? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks, Gina Marie

Update: It does actually download the file, but when it's done it says the download failed?? Thanks

googoodo11z and myself already linked to the new server and domain a week ago.

This is only the 2nd server, and it seems stable now.

Again, to get the NEW VERSIONS, it's http://kazaalite.lunarpages.com/. Probably best to use http://kazaalite.tk in case he moves it again (this should redirect you to the current server).

For anyone that already got it, check it out again as there have been a heap of updates!
