I got this the other day, and while the sheer scope of the thing is awesome, with numerous improvements over GTA3 and Vice City, the actually storyline is pretty rubbish, I've actually stopped listening to the stuff before each mission and I'm just playing through on the fly. I'm enjoying it much more this way.
Really cool game though, shame that my crap PC struggles to play it in any kind of decent resolution.

actually that's my favorite part. In the early 90's I was just hitting my teens and all the music was Dr. Dre the Chronic and Ice Cube and the movies were Boyz in Da Hood and Menace II Society. It was great and it reminds me of those times. I love the fact it's based on LA in the early 90's. This is my favorite one yet.

Ahhh... the early 90's.

I do find it very difficult to do any type of mission(s) though. The urge to just go on a rampage is overwhelming and probably the reason I don't play games like this much.

Hi.. I'm a retard and accidently deleted my saved game... lol lol lol....


i was in san fierro.. doing the mission for the triads u know the one with the helicopter where u get shot down and have to go on that huge boat... the point was getting in the hull of the boat..

does anyone have a saved game that's relativeley near to that mission??????

I have completed the game, not 100% tho(finished the storyline and some races etc.)..i have used cheats, i used the wanted star cheat alot to get rid of cops on the final missions..im not sure where the savegame file is tho, anyone want mine? here a screen shot i took

my gta won't even run..when it gets to the gta san andreas screen during loading it gets a error message and asks me to close the program

what hardware you running...some older cards won't play it without some tweaking

Do you have the disc still in the drive? I forgot and took it out once and it kept crashing without a helpful error msg, put the disc in and wholla it worked.

I have my 9600XT OC'd and it still lags like a bitch in some areas. But I should have me 9800Pro soon(tuesday), then watch out!!!!


I love this game. The music is good, the spectrum of things to do even better, and the Sims like aspect is a push for the better.


Oh yeah, and the po po's are still fun to go on rampages against.

I think its just the way the game was made. It was made on a weaker engine and probably doesnt handle PC hardware very well..I dont know im not a doctor...


Next order of business, anybody find that 100% game yet? I have the PS2 version of the game too and I dont feel like playing the game all the way through. Thanks

I have a gamesave sitting here on my Mac desktop (suppose to be 100% game) .. I've been to lazy to try it, if you'd like to test I'll post it. It's only 48KB so not a huge download.

i installed sp2 and my gta started working..fixed some other problems too
