I don't class hotmail or Yahoo as Pop mail. Outlook/OE recognise them as http email accounts.

They had a lot of trouble when they introduced the "free 1gb" thing, as it went live straight away with no (real) testing, so thousands and thousands of users flocked to the site and joined up just for the mail. I joined up a while ago, yet haven't actually used any of the stuff they give you

This is temporary because there were a few individuals who attempted to damage the system by attempting to overload it with Yahoo Group subscriptions.

The big question is though, can ne of the mentioned accounts be configured to a desktop e-mail application like outlook or mailwasher, them being free. Usually you gotta pay monies for this service.
