Dual monitors

I run dual monitors with a Geofrce 2 and a Vodoo Banshee,

probably just need to update drivers

Right, it already had the XP driver installed... re-installing does nothing.

Video Adapter Chip Sets Supported in Windows XP
You can use any combination of the PCI or AGP-based video adapters that are listed in this section with multiple monitors. Only video adapters that are based on the chip sets that are listed in this section work as primary and secondary video adapters.

Doesn't look like the card i have can be used as a secondary adapter

You can pick up a Rage 128 or a GeForce 2 pretty cheap. You don't really need much of a card for the second monitor as you will use the main monitor for graphics intensive things. I use the second monitor for things like browsing or IRC and the main monitor for games and the like.

i think i'll leave it for now, it was just a thought as i had the spare card, its not something i need.
im pretty sure my uncles box (one i made for him) has a Rage 128 card, i'll try swapping this one for it at some point :)

I have an agp Radeon 32 DDR and a pci GF2MX200 paired with a Samsung Syncmaster 750s and a Samsung Syncmaster 753 DFX. ..Works like a charm.

i think if i ever feel the need to upgrade my GFX i'll go for a dual head card. Just can't justify it atm.
I dont do much gfx work, i dont play games, i simply use my comp for info/net/mail/irc so 2 monitors (or an uber leet gfx card :p ) aren't really needed, could be nice tho :D

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?

Impressed you have kept this alive this long EP! So many sites have come and gone. :(

Just did some crude math and I apparently joined almost 18yrs ago, how is that possible???
