Auto Save Password in IE

For the passwords that you have saved, when you get a new pc, can you transfer them over??

yea i know that i use roboform and love it, my dad doesnt, i need to get him into that, but he is gettn a new pc today and was askin if he could getthe ones from IE and move them to the new pc...

I would assume he would have to transfer his "Autocomplete" History, not sure how to do that off the top of my head though....

you can if you know what you are doing, but they could also be in multiple places so cookies may not get all...

I seriously think it would be good practice to re-enter them all - if any drop through his memory banks then use the forgot password cunction and this time maybe consider either robofrom (of which i have no knowledge) or there are other products about and simple procedures that would readily allow you to enter all your logon and passwords to a place which has one master password logon. Please have him make that one strong protection!

Kinda a shame M$ license policy is not enlightened enough to allow for lazy users to swap out a C: drive to their new machine for a totally lazy life!

Give him a ball park figure for how long it'll take you frigging about to do this and maybe he'll decide re-entering is not such a hassle?
