From what I understand, Vista and Office 12 were supposed to ship around the same timeframe all along. Office is currently in a state where, I think, a delay wouldn't really be necessary if it were on an independent ship cycle. I know for a fact that a large number of Office folks aren't too pleased with the Windows team at the moment.

Yeah - which further drills in my point that it was originally to be released in this year.

Of course they won't be happy, that means they have to sit on their product longer as well.

EDIT: Just finished watching it, clip is about 13 minutes long.

I am simply amazed. I have seen screen shots, but this was my first video. This was a good way of seeing the "Ribbons" and "Gallerieis" in action. I think this is really going to be a successful product. I thinking to myself, how will people learn this if they already struggle with Office XP/2003. Right after that, it was explained

I'm loving 2007, I don't know what else to say, but that everything about it is much much better.

Can't wait for final release.

Cheaper for "Home" users (new EULA for what was Student/Teacher), which will be nice for some of my customers.

I cut and paste alot of stuff, for school and things. With the new office, I always get these boxes around the pasted in text, which I cannot delete or anything?

How can I get rid of them, or make them not even appear in the first place?

Try Edit -> paste special -> unformatted text?

Sorry not in 2007, I'm sure their intuitive interface has it buried eight menus deep. I've always used that option when pasting text from a website.

no, any formatted text that I don't want formatted. When you paste from a website it grabs all of the formatting unless you tell it not to. It will do that for any formatted text, say from another word document. Not sure why it seems to be adding a table though.
