Rooney suspension

Saturday, 08 July 2006.

We have received the decisison from FIFA regarding the suspension to Wayne Rooney following his dismissal against Portugal.

He will be suspended for two international games, and will miss England's Euro 2008 qualifiers against Andorra on 2 September at Old Trafford and Macedonia away on 6 September.

We believe the case has been dealt with fairly and we accept the decision.

We have no further comment to make.
