yet another messenger question

is there a way to get messeenger to check pop3 mail accounts for new mail if you are using a non-hotmail passport account? There is a link "go to my email inbox" which opens OE, but id like to recieve notices about new emails like it does when u use a hotmail account if possible

It doesn't appear that Messenger will check POP3 e-mail accounts. You can configure ICQ to check POP3 e-mail accounts tho.

What might work is to setup hotmail to check your POP3 account(s), I haven't done this so I dont know if this would work or not.
