XP Welcome Screen

Anyone got a information on whether I can turn off the Welcome screen or not in XP. It appears to have been forced on me after one of Microsoft's multitude of patches.

Start -> (Settings ->) Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Change The Way Users Log On Or Off -> Remove tick at 'Use The Welcome Screen'

Just found about the same on TweakXP. The other step they added was to Run "control passwords2" and clear "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" and then Apply.
