XP Upgrade Installation Question ...

I have Windows XP Upgrade and will be installing it on a new hard drive. The question I have is do I HAVE to install Windows 98 and then the XP Upgrade, or is there a way to just install XP?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No dont isntall Win98 first but you need to have the disk handy as it will ask for it to verify that you have an os to upgrade from.

Correct. Just boot to the XP CD and run the installation. At some point it will ask you to insert the original CD from any previous Windows version just to prove you have it.
