I got a XM Radio Tuner for Christmas (don't have model handy) and am excited about getting it hooked up. After thumbing through the directions before work today, and it seems the best way wrt to signal quality is through the tape adapter that plugs into your casette within the Stereo.

Since I don't have that interface, I was thinking of having it installed (which leaves only the wireless integration, which is on the bottom of the quality chart).

Since my stereo got a bit mashed up about 6 months ago when my car got broken into, I was thinking to get a new stereo anyways. I have been looking lightly today, trying to find a unit that goes into the dash, has CD capability, and also has the removeable receiver.

Anyone have XM, what's the feedback on it?

this is what I have, found it http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7442706&st=delphi&type=product&id=1124432562359

I have XM and I like it.

I don't know how long you signed up for (or received as a gift) but I would call and renew. Ask for the $77.00 for one year promotion. Call them on it if they tell you the promotion no longer exists because I just renewed last week and called back a day later for my father and they said that promotion ended on December 1.

Anyway, my friend had a similar kit and he used one of the FM frequencies because he didn't have a tape deck. It worked perfectly.

Do you know what model he had?

I'm looking at the XM site, doesn't appear to be a model that has everything I'm looking for. May just have to keep what I have now and install the additional unit that I have received as well.

Did he install it himself or use the wireless broadcast to the radio frequency?

-edit-

Also, what do you like/dislike about it, what model do you have?

He had an early model and no longer has it. He installed it himself using a FM frequency.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
