It goes through it and then hangs with my HD access light being on and my computer doesn't turn off. This occured after I installed LiteStep, which is now completely uninstalled, I don't know how to fix it, and I don't have a system restore point to go back to, any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

T-Bone😕

How long in the shutdown sequence do you get? Do you see the Windows shutting down screen? And if you harddrive light never turns off when shutting down, there could be a physical damage to your harddrive....

You probably have CD creator installed.

Go to the Creative website and download the latest drivers & instructions for use with XP and your machine will shut down fine after that.

Check for any error messages in the event log that correlate with your shut down time, or any others that may pertain to your problem, like disk errors or warnings, and post back.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
