Windows update [xp home edition]

hi all
is the windows update site down because every time i try to update mty pciget the error page was working yesterday when i tried
any help would be great thanks

check your internet properties, and connections tab.

Ensure use default connection is selected.. I've noticed if you go off-line sometimes IE loses this setting.

otherwise just type windowsupdate.microsoft.com into browser WITHOUT www at start.

I just tried windows update and I got the download the v4 thingy dated may23rd - so I said okay and it downloaded and windows update proceeded to work as advertised!

I know this is not much help - sorry!
