Something new just found out my moi.
"NT" was originally being designed for a new RISC instruction set, the first cpu, the fi"i860" was codenamed "N10" apparently because it was the first CPU to use that i860 architecture.
NT was short for "N10"
This comes from Dave Plummer of Microsoft, quite informative
He's got an interesting channel, below's where he talks about the NT nomenclature, I'm linking at that time stamp, but from the beginning this s an informative vid
