Winamp 2x v.s. Winamp 3 question....

Does anyone know of a setting in Winamp 2x where I can get it to play music thru all of my speakers on my 5.1 speaker system? Winamp 3 plays it just fine in 5.1....

hmm, mine works fine on both.

Try going to.. "Sounds and Audio Devices Properties" by either right clicking the sound icon in your taskbar and going to "Adjust Audio Properties" and if you don't have the icon in your taskbar goto Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices

Now once there, click on Advanced... in the Speaker settings box

Now goto the drop down box and make sure it's at 5.1 surround sound speakers.

it is set to 5.1 surrond speakers...I checked before I posted

Preferences > Plugins > Output > waveOut
change that to your Sound card
Preferences > Plugins > Output > DirectSound
and change that to your sound card as well, then it should be able to use your sound card drivers and then 5.1 should work right.
