Yeah its pretty good stuff, was checking it out in the press tent before Bill came in (*pimpage cough*) - seen a few machines running it, most of the motion desktops are pretty seamless, I know Brad has been working on it with MS and will have lots more info on it.

Is it common knowledge that this will be out by or at general availability?
Well it is now at least.

As far as resources go, don't be afraid if this does increase them, it will do - its doing more! The main thing to realise is that it has a lower priority than other applications so it will suffer rather than other applications if you do become low.

Wish we had some word on how the InstantUpgrade... or whatever the hell they call it... feature works, where you can upgrade from one version of Vista to another just by paying a bit extra, you download some activator/updater thing or somethin, put the vista install disc in, and it updates. would like to know if you just pay like.... the difference between version A and version B.... or do you pay the price it has for an upgrade version of the OS. if it's the latter.... that's pretty ghey.

There will be info coming before launch, but MS didn't want it to get drowned by CES, I don't think I can talk about that stuff yet.

I tested the "Anytime Upgrade" functionality by installing Home Premium on VPC. Then I did "Anytime Upgrade" to Business. It worked quite well and was very easy.

yeah.... i'm just wondering about pricing. i don't doubt the fact that it works well..... just wanna know if it'll cost an arm and a leg to upgrade from Business to Ultimate, or if it'll be reasonably priced... like say $100
