Will I be okay?

Hi there,

I am about to build my first computer and am thinking about using Win XP Pro as my OS. I was hoping anyone can let me know if they have had issues (and what they were) with any of the hardware I have and how to fix the problems (if I'll encounter any)? I plan on using it mostly for gaming.

Here's the stuff:

Asus A7V266-E
AMD 1600XP
WD 80gb
Pioneer 106s dvd
Plextor 24/10/40 cd-rw
Turtle Beach sound card
Hercules 3D Prophet III Geforce3 ti500
512mb (2x256 Cruical RAM)
3Com/US Robotics 56k modem #2977

Your best bet is to go to each of the hardware's sites and make sure they have XP drivers available and if there are any known issues in their Q&A sections. Looks like a nice rig... have fun. 😉

Am I the only one that seems to be having a compatibly problem with XP and geforce 2 cards?

I've configured alot of XP systems and have yet to have a problem with a geforce 2 card.

What am I doing wrong, I have tried different driverd, I have updated my mobo bios etc, could it be a faulty geforce card?
