Are you saying you don't have a "Component Services" or are you saying you can only get so far along the list, ie. maybe you can only get to "Roles" ?

As for "Local Policies" thats very interesting, I have it mentioned 26 times.

came up with an extra hour to play...ok, just did a registry search, and a hidden files search on security options, and local security settings...no results

no dirk, this did'nt work either.

when I get back to n.y., next week, I'm going to heaven forbid, and actually partition my harddrive, (to the great loss of performance, but this is a neccessity), and dual boot an xp pro with this os.

when that's done, we'll get on chat, and try to do a registry compare together.
