Weird Connection Hangup

My network card and my brothers network is connected into a hub. I have the ADSL modem to connect to the net. For some reason, when somebody calls to our house, if anyone picks up the phone from anywhere in the house, the ADSL get's disconnected usually (I think always) !!!!!

Why ???

Did you purchase line filters?

You need to get a line filter for ALL phone sockets except for the one the ADSL is plugged into. They're fairly cheap... wouldn't see it for more than 7 pounds each.

Dunno about these filters, never seen them, but if the DSL splitter is in the first socket in the house then it should work as far as I know. Is it in the first socket?

Actually it only sometimes happens, I have the micro filter connected to my ADSL modem !!!
For the last past 6 calls, it diud not disconnect

It works fine !, ah well
