I don't know if here is a way to do this or not but it would be great if someone out there knows the correct answer to his...
Currently, I have a GPO that has the "Hide Notification Area" setting enabled. This of course works like a champ and what you will see is only the clock in the lower right hand part of the screen.
What I want to do is have that "Hide Notification Area" setting enabled but I also would like to see the Volume Control icon as well. If the "Hide Notification Area" is disabled, I do confirm that the Volume Control icon is in the notification area but once enabled, it is gone.
So is there any possible way to have Volume Control still in the notification area with the GPO setting "Hide Notification Area" enabled? These computers are pretty locked down and I would love it if I could just have the Volume Control icon shown and nothing else! Any ideas would be great...thanks.
