You can't slipsteam Vista with good results even with Vlite.

The preferred method of Reverse Integration seems to work though.

As a follow-up, I wanted to mention that I called Microsoft for integrated Vista SP1 replacement media, and, after answering some questions to prove that I owned it already, they're sending it out to me.
