vista disc management question

I know I can shrink the partition with a vista disc but this box has that partition restore, no disc

do the native tools allow me to shrink partitions or do I need another applicatiob

ALSO I noticed in disc tools I can limit the amount of disc useage for a user, cool tool and never heard about it before I just saw it in properties on the drive

i'd recomend acronis disc director (but not free)

Vista does have tools for shrinking the drive but they are very limited in their ability.
Acronis is good as stated in previous post, others like Gparted as a freebie but I havn't tried it.
