V3c Driver problems

I try to install drivers and i get all the way to the port assignment and there are no ports to assign too. I ve tried all drivers. it recognizes the phone as a modem but will not connect to it cuz no port has been assigned. I'm using a usb cable.Any help would be great appriciated..
