USB Problems w/ SiS Chipset (Keep)

I am running a XP Pro on an Asus P4S533 Motherboard based on the SiS 645DX chipset. When trying to use my IBM OpticalScroll mouse in the USB port the mouse is only detected sometimes when Windows starts up. This can only be resolved by restarting the computer. Right now, I'm using the mouse in PS/2

Problems with the SiS USB Controller are well documented where it will often not detect connected devices. The patch released by SiS is supposed to resolve some of the issues but it did not work for me. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
