my usb 250 really make me sick. everytime i insert a zip disk into the drive, it will produce some annoying sound. and when i read or write, it also produce that kind of sound. izzit normal or my usb is going to die??

and btw how can i remove the icon "safely remove hardware" from the system tray?

All Zip drives make me sick. Each and every one of them. I had a ZIP 100MB, and that was crap ! It too started making weird noise everyonce in a while, then more often, then it ceased to work at all. Then it started working. Even wrote files onto zip disk...then froze up everything in the half way point. I got a replacement, soon enough, it began to do the same thing. Then one day, I left my window open, and the rain killed it. Oh boy I was glad, it was a good reason to get a 20 GB backup drive instead.

I'm sorry, but I think that it's going to die.

I haven't had any problems with my zip disk. I had an external USB, External parallel version and now an internal ZIP 250. Can't live without zip. Very convenient!
