Obviously not everything is the same, this is what it was like at shipment, don't know which is the motherboard. Anyone know?

Thanks,

Eve:D

Thank you all for your help, but am still wondering, can anyone tell me what kind of motherboard I have from all the mumbo jumbo above?

If all else fails..

Open up the computer and check the actual hardware itself. You never know if it has a tag on it pasted on it. ;)

Christ NO! I haven't a clue about the insides of a computer, could pull out the wrong thing. Besides, it's my work computer, don't think my boss would be too impressed if he came back and found me sitting on the floor in the middle of a bunch of microchips and stuff! *LoL*

Thanks anyway.

If it is your work computer just tell you boss that you need a new one:D

Did you try that program I mentioned before? Just put it on a bootable disk, boot from it and run ctbios.exe > ctbios.txt. It will then create a text-file, which you could post if you cannot find the correct info. But it should be clear enough, even in German.

HAHAHAAH lol @ Eve

Yeah i can picture me self you on the floor with lotsa computer parts all over.. wouldnt be a pretty sight. :p

Haven't got a clue how to create a bootable disk

JW50: I don't think so somehow, I just comvinced him to upgrade to XP, don't see him getting me a new computer too!

Lightwave: (insulted) Thanks very much! Nah, just kidding, would be funny though.

OK, on bootdisk.com you can get bootdisks, but it's much easier to make one yourself. Put a floppy in, go to My Computer and rightclick on your A-drive. Select Formatting... and select Make an MS-DOS bootdisk > OK. Unzip the file and add it to the bootdisk. Then use it to boot your computer. If it does not boot from the floppy, you may have to adjust your bootsequence in the BIOS so it will read the Floppy first.

hahha

no way .. downloading the bootdisk is much easier .. also if u back up the file ... then just double click on the file and it will create it for you thats it.. now thats easy .

Thats what bootdisk.com is all about.. making it all easier..

Eve,

I think your best bet is to goto your local PC shop, I wouldnt advise trying anything yourself unless you are 100%

Plus the shop should be able to know what ram you have what else you could add and will do it all for you.

I think thats best Eve.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
