update explorer windox

my explorer windows won't update without hitting f5. i know there is a regkey hkey_local_machine\system\controlsetXXX\control\update\
but it doesn't affect my system. any idears?

What do you mean by 'it won't update'? Right click and refresh, it may fix your problem...

i know, i can do this by hand, but using win9x the window was refreshing automaticly and i know it is possible under winxp too. it should be the standard. you know how anoying it is if you want a new folder: create new folder, refresh, rename folder, refresh.
