Unmountable boot volume

what the **** is this??

i get it ever few days or so as it boots just as XP is reaching the loading splash screen !

its a blue screen everything freezes!!!

the only way i seem to get rid of it is by putting in windows 2000 pro CD let it copy setup files to the hard drive and then reboot then windows XP runs CHECK DISK and sorts it out!

please help!

thanks,

Alex

Next time that happens, put in your windows XP cd, run the recovery console

once at the console type in fixMBR, then after it writes a new MBR, type in Fixboot and let it write a new bootsector, that should fix it :)
