Hey Guys,

Im in the process now of looking for a decent laptop at the cheepest price possible and I came accross one that Im not really sure about. Its a Toshiba Satellite 1800 850MHZ P3 and my question is about the recovery software? It says that the AC adaptor and cord isnt included which I dont think will be that big of a deal, I could get the local computer company to get me one of those, but it also says that the Recovery Software(OS) & Operating System isnt included. So am I able to use my normal WindowsXP Pro cd to install windows? Im thinking not but I was wondering about this for quite sometime and Im looking for as much help as possible. As well, ANY buying tips for laptops (of any brand) that will/may be usful to me will be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks 😎

Jamie

It just seems like their's something wrong for them to be selling it for only $120US when all it needs is Windows on it and an AC adapter. But hey, a deals a deal!!! 😎

make sure it's working at that price... worth a hell of a lot more imho

Also, you might want to make sure that it isn't stolen. Toshiba, as well as IBM, use tracking technology hardcoded into the BIOS. If it is stole and you plug it into the Internet, it can be tracked down to you.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
