The sims sound problem!

I have xp pro and sims with house party.
my sound is completely crazu, but it is only when im playing sims. it sounds like i am in a jar or a big hall. a reverb sound. anybody now anything that maight help me? sorry for the bad english...

i used to get that with only a select few CounterStrike maps... really weird...

Anyway I fixed it, so I might be able to help - what kind of sound card u have?

This is a known bug in a list of many with the SBLive drivers. Hopefully it will get fixed.

The SB Audigy doesnt have this problem.

I have a SB Live and play the Sims with no problem with sound in the game. What drivers are you using for the sound card?? The ones that came withy XP or newer ones from Creative?? I updated to the ones on Windows Update, and have not had a problem at all.
