the send to ?

how do I remove a file from the send to when you right click on a file I have a bad link there I used the shell toys and made a link to the desktop on the other system in my network and now that link is not good anymore so I want to remove it .. I hope taking it out of the send to will speed it up right now if I right click on andthing and happen to go over the send to it takes forever and a day to bring up the send to info
any ideas?
