The guys over at methodshop.com have written a mini-guide relating to the iTunes EQ and how it can affect your music, personally I'm a fan off leaving EQ's off (as the artist intended) but obviously they can enhance the music in various ways.

The guide can of course apply to other players with EQ settings, I just thought some people may find it interesting to read: http://www.methodshop.com/mp3/articles/ituneseq/

the EQ works okay on my iPod when i set it to dance i can actually hear more bass on the tiny speakers not bad

Good read.

il give this a read when i have time, but just for reference... i have all the songs on my iTunes library linked to a EQ setting. Mainly for the type of music, but i dont tend to stick with the defaults, i will select 'dance' for example to get the basic setting then tweak it so that it is more suited to my hifi system that its played out of :)

1) EQ should always be a subtractive process, not additive.

2) EQ should only be used to adjust for room/speaker/headphone deficiencies.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
