the firewall in xp

there is a built in firewall for xp, some say they use it as an alternative to zone alarm. is it any good?

and can u run both at the same time? how do i activate it??

i heard xp has a built in firewall but i don't know how to get it running.

i am using windows xp pro thanks.

It is enabled by default and IMHO its not that great.

Right click on your connection and go to properties.
Advanced... Enable/disable firewall.

Not nearly as good as Zone Alarm. Its ok for filtering incoming traffic, but does not filter outgoing, which would be no good if you had a trojan or some other phone-home program doing funky stuff...

You can run both XP firewall and ZA just fine. See no problem there

XP firewall is already operating by default. Go to contol panel > network connections > right -click your internet connection > Advanced > check your firewall button.
