I have a single core p4 3ghz but whenever I use programs that detect my cpu it always say that there is 2 cpus. or like, 2 cpu (1 physical).. why does it keep saying theres 2?
Don't quote me on this but I'm fairly certain it has to do with hyperthreading. The hyperthreading will cause some programs to see your chip is having 2 cores when only one physical core is present.
yep its a HT cpu alright - my p4 3.4 is just the same 2x1.7ghz - although it always shows as one, nothing to worry about as most progs have HT, smp, dual core support now anyway
Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
