Wonder if you could help? We're running a Windows 2000 Network with 1000+ XP Pro clients and we're looking at stopping users connecting Parallel/USB local printers at their workstations.

Anyone know of a way we can stop users adding local printers, but still enable them to use cameras, scanners and other USB devices and add network printers?

Thanks

Dan

That's a simple fix. Open up the Group Policy editor (Start-->Run-->GPEDIT.MSC). Under the User Configuration section, select Control Panel, Then Select Printers. Change "Disable Addition Of Printers" to true (or yes). Close the editor and you're done.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
