Theres an ad aware rip off out called spy bot search and destroy. You can download it here http://beam.to/spybotsd I used it and it picked up a few more entries then adaware but adaware picks stuff up that it doesnt.

I tried the spybot, and all was well, until i started deleting some registry entries that a uninstall of corel draw had left behind.

The bot had asked me if i wanted to delete some registry entry for some shared dlls. 5 mins later everything was locked.

Lucky i dual boot,
my XP had slowed down to a crawl anyways.
