Slow wireless Broadband between router & USB dongle

Hello

I set-up the modem/router yesterday and it has connected to the internet without any problems.
However, when I run a speed test for the broadband it indicates that the down stream speed is between 1 & 2Mb. When I connect the router homepage and check the stats it says it connects at around 3 or 4Mb. The signal I receive from the router to the wireless adapter is good, and says it connects at 108Mbs.

Its seems I am losing traffic between the Netgear DG834PN & the Netgear WPN111 USB adapter I am using. Are there any settings I can check to ensure it is not being limited or are there any ideas to resolve the speed?

Many thanks

Ryan

How far away are you from the router? Any obsticals between?

Around 5 metres. Its situated in the hall and the PC is straight down from it in a room. No lead walls in the way or anything! I will try to move it into the same room just to test though.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
